Does MeetingJuice record my meeting audio?

Yes, since October 2026. The transcript comes from Google Meet’s native captions, and the audio is recorded so you can listen back. It is stored encrypted in Google Cloud Storage, accessible only to you through time-limited links, never used to train AI models, and deleted with the meeting. Free accounts get a 30-second preview and recordings are deleted after 30 days; paid plans get full playback and can turn recording off in their settings. Video is never recorded.

Do you train AI models on my meetings?

No. We never sell, share, or use your transcripts or summaries to train third-party AI models. Your data is used only to provide the service to you.

How is my data stored and protected?

Transcripts and summaries are scoped to your private workspace and encrypted at rest. Access is limited to you (and, on Team plans, your organization).

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can archive or permanently delete any meeting at any time. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Is MeetingJuice an official Google Workspace app?

Yes. MeetingJuice is distributed through the official Google Workspace Marketplace, which means it goes through Google’s app review process.

Is Google Meet HIPAA compliant?

Google Meet can be used in a HIPAA-compliant way when your organization has a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google on an eligible Google Workspace plan. MeetingJuice is privacy-first — transcripts and audio encrypted at rest, no AI training on your data, and one-click deletion — but if you handle protected health information (PHI), confirm your Workspace BAA covers Meet and review MeetingJuice’s data handling with your compliance team first.

Is MeetingJuice GDPR compliant?

MeetingJuice is built to support GDPR compliance. We practice data minimization — we capture caption text and the meeting audio, never video — store data encrypted at rest, and never sell, share, or train third-party AI on it. You can export or permanently delete any meeting at any time, which supports data-subject access and erasure requests. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available for organizations on request.

Where is my meeting data stored?

Transcripts and summaries are stored in your private workspace on managed Google Cloud infrastructure, encrypted at rest. Access is limited to you and, on Team plans, the members of your organization — never to other customers.

Question 9

Do other participants need to consent to being transcribed?

Accepted Answer

You are responsible for following the notification and consent rules that apply where you and your participants are located. Because MeetingJuice relies on Google Meet’s own captions, participants can see when captions are on, and we recommend telling attendees the meeting is being transcribed.
